Travelers Can Save 15 Percent Off Car Rental As Part Of Promotion
ORLANDO, FL, May __, 2017 – Advantage Rent A Car (Advantage) is proud to announce that it has been named GayTravel.com’s first Let’s Get OUT There! (LGOT) travel partner.
“The Let’s Get OUT there! initiative is intended to inspire LGBT+ travelers to explore exciting destinations and seek out enriching events,” said GayTravel.com Chief Visionary Officer Steve Rohrlick. It also harnesses the collective buying power of gay travelers across the globe for the benefit of the gay community, allowing travelers to access exclusive discounts and/or access to VIP experiences offered by select corporate travel partners, such as Advantage and its sister company E-Z Rent-A-Car, comprising Advantage/EZ (AEZ).
Its first travel inspiration is Orlando, FL for “Orlando United Day – A Day of Love and Kindness,” on June 12, which will honor the memory of the 49 victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting.
“GayTravel.com is proud to recognize Advantage Rent A Car as its first international Let’s Get Out There! partner,” Rohrlick said. “AEZ’s commitment to the LGBT+ community is demonstrable. Headquartered in Orlando, they provided cars to the families and domestic partners of the Pulse victims immediately after the tragedy. Their leadership serves as an example to other brands around the world.”
As part of the partnership, AEZ is providing a 15 percent discount off its lowest online price for car rental. Travelers must book their vehicles through the Advantage website and use the code “gaytravel.” The promotion is good for any location served by AEZ and for any travel dates.
“Advantage stood with the LGBT+ community last year, providing free rentals to the families and partners of the victims of the Pulse shootings,” said Scott Davido, President of AEZ. “It was our way of supporting those who needed assistance and unifying the larger community.”
Orlando United Day is dedicated to honoring the memory of the Pulse victims, supporting survivors and recognizing the compassion and love displayed by the Central Florida community in the aftermath of the tragedy. Events include a Reflections and Remembrance event at Pulse; a remembrance ceremony at Lake Eola Amphitheater featuring city, county and community leaders; and a community gathering at the nightclub site featuring prayer, live music and inspirational dance from 10 p.m. to midnight. Details and a full schedule of events can be found on the Orlando United Day website.
Davido continued: “Advantage is proud to be GayTravel.com’s first Let’s Get OUT There! partner. We look forward to a relationship that will support the community and inspire travel for years to come,” said Scott Davido, President of AEZ. “Recent studies have put the global value of LGBT+ travel at more than $211 billion. On a business front, serving this growing segment of the market makes financial as well as social sense for any company. We encourage other companies to participate and join with us in sponsoring GayTravel.com’s Let’s Get Out There! initiative.”
