ADVANTAGE RENT-A-CAR AWARDED RENTAL SERVICE CONTRACT EXTENSION FOR THE 14TH CONSECUTIVE YEAR WITH THE STATE OF TEXAS.
SAN ANTONIO, Texas (March 30, 2006). The ‘New’ Advantage Rent A Car, recently acquired by ARC Venture Holdings, Inc. has been awarded a three-year extension on the state of Texas rental car contract through March 31, 2009. This award represents an unprecedented 14th consecutive year of providing rental car services to the state of Texas Travel Management program. Under this contract, over 250 state agencies and nearly 1,400 cooperative agencies are served. Cooperative purchasing was created by legislature to allow local government entities to purchase goods and services from state term contracts. With the combined agencies, the state of Texas Travel Management car rental contract exceeded $13 million in 2005 and is serviced by Advantage and two other approved car rental vendors.
