ORLANDO, FLORIDA (April 24, 2007). Advantage Rent A Car has appointed Wayne Jefferson as General Manager, Orlando, Florida. Jefferson has had a very successful career in the car rental industry. He rose through the ranks at Budget to become North and West Florida General Manager. Most recently he was a partner for the USAVE Auto Rental Franchise in Orlando.
"Wayne’s experience and capabilities make him an ideal addition to the Advantage management team," said Bill Plamondon, Advantage Rent A Car Chief Executive Officer. "He will be instrumental in our drive to expand the Advantage brand."
A native of Florida, Jefferson received numerous awards during his Budget tenure for operational achievements and most notably for attaining the highest customer service rankings in the company. Following expansions into Honolulu, Hawaii and Las Vegas, Nevada, Advantage Rent A Car acquired Eagle Rent A Car in February, 2007, establishing a presence in the airport and local markets in Orlando.
