What is Advantage Green Rewards?

Advantage Green Rewards is a unique reward program sponsored by Advantage Rent A Car. Advantage Green Rewards can be redeemed for a variety of Advantage Rent A Car products and services as well as travel certificates. Advantage Green Rewards will accrue (without expiration) until you decide to redeem them for Advantage Rent A Car products and services or your account has 3 years of inactivity (see: Will my points expire? section for full details).

How do I become a member of Advantage Green Rewards?
You are eligible to join the program if you meet the following criteria:

   • Resident of the U.S.
   • Twenty-one years of age or older
   • Have internet access
   • Have a valid credit card
   • Have an existing email account as of the date of your enrollment

Does it cost me any money to join?
Not a thing. Advantage Green Rewards is a free benefit to you as a frequent renter with Advantage Rent A Car. Sign up today and start earning points - your free Advantage products and services and discounted vacations are right around the corner.

What are the benefits of Advantage Green Rewards?
You can redeem Advantage Green Rewards for free Advantage Rent A Car, car upgrades, free rental days, free tank of gas, GPS systems, Roadside Assistance, and Tourism Radio (HI only) as well as $25, $50 travel certificates and $100 cruise certificates redeemable at Advantage Green Rewards travel website.

How do I earn points?
Once you're enrolled, it's easy to start earning. You earn points from Advantage Rent A Car for doing what you already do - renting cars. For each full day you rent a car from Advantage Rent a Car you will earn 50 Green Rewards points. Then as your balance builds, you can redeem your points for Advantage Rent A Car products and services. It's easy and rewarding.

Your points will be kept in your password-protected individual account and as long your account continues to have activity they'll never expire as long as your account remains active! Membership in Advantage Green Rewards automatically expires after three years of inactivity. So, as long as you rent from us at least once during a three-year period your account will remain active and the points will continue to accumulate (see Will my points expire? Section for full details).

What can I redeem my points on?
You can redeem your Advantage Green Rewards for a variety of Advantage products and services redeemed through advantage.greenrewards.com including:

   • Free car class upgrade
   • Free rental day
   • Free gas
   • GPS
   • Roadside Assistance
   • Tourism Radio (where applicable)
   • Charitable Donation

You can also redeem your Advantage Green Rewards for travel certificates valued at $25, $50 or $100 cruise certificates

How do I redeem my points?
For Advantage Rent A Car products and services: When you redeem for Advantage Rent A Car products and services your points will cover the full cost of the reward (you do not have any additional out of pocket expense).

For travel certificates: When you redeem for travel certificates your points will cover the cost of the reward. The remaining balance will need to be paid with a credit card. For example, if you're booking a $250 hotel stay and you have a $50 travel certificate; $50 will be deducted from your total, giving a new balance of $200 to be paid by credit card.

Please note that it takes from 7-10 days to process your reward certificates.

Can I use more than one Green Rewards coupon per rental?
No. Only one Green Rewards coupon may be used per rental.

Can I use more than one travel certificate per booking?
One travel certificate can be used per booking.

How many points do I need to have before I can start redeeming?
You do not need to save your Advantage Green Rewards for months or years before having enough to redeem. You can save $15.00 off a one car class upgrade for only 180 points. Check the offers on the site frequently, most Advantage Rent A Car products and services require far less than you'd think.

Will my points expire?
After three (3) years of inactivity (inactivity shall be defined as zero (0) car rentals within three (3) years from initial program signup) Advantage Rent A Car and the Green Rewards program reserves the right to terminate any membership and expire any and all accrued point balances. Once you redeem your points, a coupon will be emailed to the address you provided at the time of enrollment in the Green Rewards program; the coupon will be valid for one year from the date of issuance.

How long do I have to redeem Green Rewards coupons?
Green Rewards coupons are valid for one year from the date of issuance.

Why does it seem different items have different discounts?

The discount you see (the number of Advantage Green Rewards you can use) will vary by product or service you're redeeming for. For example, the amount of Advantage Green Rewards points you will need for a free rental day is different than what you'll need for free gas. For all Advantage Rent A Car products and services the number of points required will always cover the cost of the item. For travel, the number of Advantage Green Rewards points will vary depending on which travel certificate you redeem for. There are two available travel certificates, $25 and $50 and one $100 cruise certificate which can be redeemed to buy down the total cost of your vacation package.

When should I expect to see my points added to my account?
Point balances are updated on a weekly basis.

My points haven't been credited to my account, now what?
Point balances are updated on a weekly basis. Points are only awarded on specific behaviors (see: How do I earn points). If, after 7 days of renting an Advantage Rent A Car you don't see your points added, please call us at 1.800.201.5734.

How do I login to the secure Advantage Green Rewards?
After you have enrolled, go to advantage.greenrewards.com and enter your username and password and click on "Login" and you will be directed to the members-only site.

What if I forgot my password?
Go to advantage.greenrewards.com and click on the "forgot your password?" link. Enter your login, email address and new password. An activation link will be sent to your email address. Click on this link, and enter your new password. If you think your login and password are correct and still can't get into the members-only site, please contact us at 1.800.777.1374.

Who can use the advantages of my membership?
In order to use Advantage Green Rewards, you (the member) must be one of the travelers. Points may be applied toward the entire booking. Family and friends will benefit from your participation. (For example, a family of four can use points toward the entire family purchase price.)

How do I get my 250 bonus points?
If you register within four weeks of receiving your Registration email from Advantage Rent A Car you're entitled to receive 250 bonus Advantage Green Rewards Points. Your bonus points will be automatically added to your account within 21 days. If after 21 days you have not received your bonus points please call us at 1.800.777.1374, and we will assist you.

Why am I getting an error message when I attempt to register?
Most likely the error you’re receiving is because there is a problem with the email address we have on file for you. Please contact Advantage Rent A Car at 1.800.777.1374 or greenrewards@advantage.com to confirm/update your current email address Then be sure to use it as your 'email address' when you register with Advantage Green Rewards. Note: Changes you make to your Advantage Green Rewards profile will take 24-48 hours to load into the Advantage Green Rewards system.

I updated my Individual profile with my current email address but I still am unable to register?
Depending on when you made your last update, it typically takes 24-48 hours to update Advantage Green Rewards. If you update your Advantage Green Rewards profile on a Monday you should be able to register Tuesday or Wednesday. If you are unable to register please contact us at 1.800.201.5734.

Where do I register?
Fill out the registration form on the rewards page of the Advantage Rent A Car site. Once you've registered you'll receive an email from us asking you to activate your account and create a username and password on the member site. It's quick and simple. Remember, your username is the email address you used when you registered.

Do I have to register each time I come to the site?
No, you only need to register one time, after that you can simply log in by clicking on the Login link on the homepage and entering your username and password.

How do I log in to the Advantage Green Rewards?
Once you're registered, you simply need to click on the Login link on the homepage and enter your username and password.

I have incorrect personal information in my profile, how do I update my profile?
Any updates you wish to make to your profile (Title, name change, address change, email address change, etc.) need to be made via the Advantage Rent A Car rewards page on the Green Rewards website (choose the Profile tab at the top of the page).
